First Scary Text Effect

This effect is quite an easy one to create and we recommend it for beginners, because the source file contains some basic Action Script events, properties and movements. So read carefully and take this to the next level. How this is done:

First of all we need a background picture and because of our "scary" theme we chose the one you see and we placed it on the last layer in the Main Stage. Please ignore the first layer called "webarticles.org", because that's the layer that creates all the things you see when the cursor is over the clip. So if you have the source file open, you will see that all our effect has been created on the middle layer and incorporated in one movie clip.

Lock the first and last layer in the Main Timeline and the double click inside the Stage. This will open the movie clip and you will see how the effects were created. As you can notice, this timeline has also three layers, and each one of these has a different role in the movie.
